This Dodge D-100 came to us as a solid, drivable cruiser with a late-2000s air ride setup—and a ton of personality. The front end alone gives the truck unmistakable style. Lars wanted to retain that old-school vibe while upgrading the truck’s performance and drivability across the board.

We modernized the suspension, air ride system, steering, and braking with a new Ford 9" rear axle, Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes, and a hydroboost unit for improved pedal feel and stopping power. The cooling system was also upgraded, and we cleaned up the engine bay with a sleek serpentine drive setup.

Out back, the bed had been cut for axle clearance by a previous shop but never finished. We fabricated a custom bed floor hump that echoed the shape of the widened wheel tubs and embossed “D-100” into the rear panel for a clean, custom touch. The wide tubs now accommodate serious rubber, and we ran the exhaust through the bed floor on either side of the embossed panel for a functional and stylish finish.

We also upgraded the gauges to match the truck’s updated capabilities.

Lars’s D-100 still exudes old-school charm—but now it rides, handles, and stops like a modern machine. A true classic cruiser with custom detail and performance to match.
